The Thrill of the Double Life

Who Will You Be Tonight?

That’s not the question. Because the personality of a person with bipolar disorder is uncontrollable. It is the unusual changes in mood, energy, activity, and focus, a mental disease that makes day-to-day chores challenging. Manic, depressed, and hypomanic are the three varieties. Depressive episodes are depressing, uninterested, or hopeless, whereas manic episodes are passionate, joyful, agitated, or invigorated. Episodes of hypomania are milder. Mood episodes can be classified as either depressed or manic/hypomanic, and they can persist for days or weeks. Bipolar disorder patients typically exhibit neutral moods. A full and productive life can result from treatment. Bipolar I, Bipolar II, and Cyclothymic Disorder are the three diagnoses that fall under the umbrella of bipolar disorder. [1][4]

Some of Your Dirt Has Come to Light

How would we know? Well, we know that there are three variants of bipolar disorders. Let's delve more into this. Extreme mood swings, such as manic episodes marked by euphoria, irritability, elevated speech, troubled sleep, and depressive episodes shown by hopelessness, guilt, and fatigue, could indicate bipolar disorder. There are two main types of bipolar disorder: bipolar II, which has more severe depressive episodes and less serious hypomanic periods, and bipolar I, which has worse manic episodes. A milder variation of bipolar disorder, cyclothymic disorder is characterized by recurrent episodes of depression and hypomania. In a year, four or more episodes of mania or depression are referred to be rapid cycling. Although symptoms may occur in youths, the diagnosis usually takes place in late adolescence or early adulthood. Exaggerated self-esteem, fast speech, struggle to focus, insomnia, and irresponsible conduct are signs of manic episodes, whereas depressed periods include low moods and exhaustion. [1]-[4]

What is the solution to this disorder? To control symptoms and avoid damage, proper therapy is necessary. Although bipolar disorder symptoms can occasionally manifest in youngsters, the disease is often diagnosed in late adolescence or early adulthood. Manic or depression episodes can occur in people, which can lead to serious problems at home, at work, and in school. As a result, they may require specialist care. People with bipolar illness can successfully control their symptoms and have satisfying lives with the right care and assistance. Managing bipolar illness requires early detection of its symptoms and getting medical help for an accurate diagnosis and course of therapy. [4]
